We specialise in loft boarding and fitting loft ladders and hatches. We were invited to become the authorised Loftzone installers for the South West and so we cover the Bristol, Bath and the Somerset region for them.
We are able to do a variety of domestic (and commercial) projects, from building extensions to complete renovations, however we have got teams that specialise in loft boarding, fitting loft hatches and any lighting or wiring that might be required. We provide the complete service so that when we leave you can start using your loft for storage straight away.
Remember that we are also the team behind DIY Doctor, so if you think that this is something you want to do yourself, we can help you too.
So if you decide that you want us to board your loft or you want to have a go yourself, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
Specialist Loft Services:
There are a number of things that we specialise in so that we can offer you a complete loft boarding service:
- Loft Hatch fitting or Enlargement: Often the existing loft hatch is too small for a ladder, you and a box of stuff to store, so it needs to be enlarged to make sure you can actually get through it with a box. This is what we do, day in and day out.
- Loft Boarding: We will fit boards to all sorts of loft, however we will check that it is structurally sound to do so before we do. If it is not we can advise and provide an alternative solution.
- Insulation: Adding loft insulation to the recommended 270mm is the best way to keep your home warm. This will need a raised deck to fit the loft boarding to so as not the squash the insulation and make it ineffective.
- Lighting and Electrics: We have in-house electrical services which means that we can fit the loft lighting that you need, move switches and wiring so they are not covered by extra insulation, and then certify the work legally.
Why do we use Loftzone’s Store Floor?
LoftZone StoreFloor is a lightweight, incredibly strong system of raised beams that supports a safe deck above your insulation. It’s perfect for creating safe storage up in your loft. It’s fully tested to BBA regulations, which means that it’s ideal for new builds as well and older homes.
We feel that the StoreFloor is best solution that there is. It is an award winning raised deck solution which is light and strong; it compares very favourably with the alternatives.
Other installers might use heavy timber frames, which can compromise your warranty being too heavy for ceiling joists. We use LoftZone as it’s lightweight and a much better insulator too – keeping your heating bills down!
